The 52-year-old was relieved of his duties on Wednesday (February 11) following Tottenham’s 2-1 Premier League defeat to Newcastle.
Frank leaves the club all the way down in 16th, just five points above the relegation zone, with seven wins, eight draws, and 11 defeats.
Tottenham fans were chanting Pochettino’s name once the final whistle blew against Newcastle, and the club are said to want to grant their wishes.
According to The Telegraph, Spurs are looking to appoint an interim manager until the end of the season and then move for the 53-year-old.
Spurs will have to wait until after the World Cup until they can bring him back, however, with Pochettino taking charge of the USMNT for the tournament.
