TMW says Tottenham has made initial contact regarding Fagioli ahead of the summer transfer window.
Spurs management are already planning for next season, while the team is struggling at the bottom of the Premier League and trying to secure its safety.
Tottenham are not alone in the hunt, however. Newcastle are also said to be monitoring the situation surrounding the 25-year-old midfielder.
Fagioli has been regarded as an attacking midfielder, but in recent years has also been used in a more withdrawn role.
He has a contract that runs until the summer of 2028.
