To add insult to injury, defender Ben Davies was stretched off after just 19 minutes with a seemingly serious ankle injury.
The North London club have now confirmed that the 32-year-old will go under the knife with a fractured ankle.
It remains to be seen just how long the Wales international will be out, although the club have wished him a speedy recovery.
