The Gunners won 1-0 thanks to Ebere Eze's strike as they went four points clear at the top of the table.

Timber said: “Everyone plays a part in it, but it's a good thing and a good foundation to build on. From that standard, you just have to keep getting better and be consistent in what we do, and then throughout the whole season, hopefully we'll turn into something beautiful.

“It gives you confidence and it shows that we're doing really well, and also, if it's for multiple games in a row, I think it says something about consistency.

"We just have to keep that going game-by-game, keep improving, look at what we can do better still, but also take that feeling with you, that confidence and go into the next game with the same mindset.”

On the game, he added: “Very hard. I think we knew before that it wasn't going to be easy, no Premier League match is an easy match, but Palace have been doing really well, and I think they showed today again that they're a very tough team to play against.

“So, credit to them, but also credit to us. I think we played really well. It was a tough match, but we found a way to win and I think that's the most important part. A clean sheet again, which is good, gives us confidence, so, a lot of good things to build on and to get better.

“I think it's good to stay neutral, not to get too high. Obviously, we've been doing well, but it’s still early in the season, and we just have to keep getting better game by game.

“The next game is already in two or three days, which is a cup game, and the next Premier League game is going to be tough as well. So, let's keep our feet on the ground and keep working hard, and then from there, we'll see what happens.”
