Chelsea face the side fourth in the Premier League table and two places above them as they hunt for a first league win in four matches under Rosenior who will be desperate for 3 points.
The Blues are fighting for Champions League football this season and have fallen below Manchester United and Liverpool in recent weeks, leaving them in 6th.
Chelsea still have to face the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool before the season ends, making games against Villa imperative to win.
In defence, Rosenior will be without Levi Colwill (knee), Cucurella (thigh) and Wesley Fofana (suspended) as he relies on Trevor Chalobah, Wesley Fofana and newly returned Reece James.
Further up the pitch, Dario Luis Essugo (other), Pedro Neto (suspended) and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens (thigh) are all ruled out as Moises Caicedo, Andrey Santos, Cole Palmer and Enzo Fernandez step in.
Finally, Estevao (thigh) is also missing with Rosenior revealing last week that he expected Estevao to be sidelined for "a little while longer".
This hands Alejandro Garnacho a huge chance to start on the left wing, given that Gittens is out and Estevao will be missing this week.
Victory for Villa would open up a nine-point lead over Chelsea, with just nine matches remaining which excites manager Unai Emery:
“The next match is Chelsea, favourites to be in the top-five, and we will be in front of them playing on Wednesday.
“We are going to think about it only with the momentum we have in the position we are, not the momentum we have in the results we have not achieved.”
