City will kick off at the same time as title rivals Arsenal on Wednesday evening as they attempt to close the 5 point gap at the top of the table.
Pep Guardiola’s side have avoided defeat in each of their last 13 fixtures on their own turf, winning each of their last seven whilst also winning the last 6 in a row in all competitions.
Ahead of the clash, City will look to rotate as Max Alleyne (other), Josko Gvardiol (Calf/Shin/Heel Injury) and Nico O’Reilly (Ankle/Foot Injury) are all out in defence as Guardiola looks towards Marc Guehi, Ruben Dias and Matheus Nunes.
Guardiola spoke on O’Reilly in Tuesday’s press conference and revealed he is being monitored closely.
"We will do the same (monitor him) for Nico after the training."
In midfield, Guardiola is without Mateo Kovacic (ankle / foot) but the biggest story ahead of the game is that Erling Haaland (knee) was not in City’s squad for the 1-0 win at Leeds on Saturday.
This came after he picked up an unspecified problem in training before the game as fans worried he would also miss the Forest clash. Speaking on Tuesday, Guardiola revealed he will know more after training.
"He feels much better, but yesterday we didn't train. Today, we are so we will decide after that."
City have an FA Cup tie against Newcastle on Saturday and the first leg of their Champions League last 16 showdown with Real Madrid next week in what is a busy week that may weigh Haaland down even further with fatigue and further injury.
