Liverpool take on Wolves in back-to-back fixtures this week, a side who beat Aston Villa at the weekend, a club who sit above The Reds in the table in 3rd.
Arne Slot’s side beat West Ham United 5-2 on Saturday to move onto 48 points and have now scored at least two goals in six of their past nine contests.
The Premier League champions have only suffered one defeat in their past 10 fixtures away from home, winning on six occasions in that period and will enter the game without a number of first team stars.
In defence the likes of Conor Bradley (knee) and Giovanni Leoni (knee) are both out as Slot turns to the newly returned Jeremie Frimpong as well as Joe Gomez, Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate.
Further up the pitch in midfield, Wataru Endo (ankle / foot) and Florian Wirtz (lower back) are also out with Slot giving an update on the German on Monday morning.
“I think that will be too early, but I said last week I didn’t expect him not to be available today,” Slot said when asked about a comeback for Tuesday’s Premier League clash.
“Sometimes with an injury things can develop in a positive or negative way.
“Now we are thinking it doesn’t have to take too long, but Tuesday will probably be too early.
“The week after will be tight – as things stand now. But as I said, I thought he would be available for today as well.”
Finally, summer signing Alexander Isak (Calf/Shin/Heel Injury) is also missing but could return later this month or the start of April in what is a realistic comeback date.
