The Gunners go to Old Trafford in good shape, with new additions Viktor Gyokeres, Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard all fully fit and available.
Arteta says Leandro Trossard is also on track to make the travelling party: "I'm super excited!
"The mood in the place, the enthusiam. The will now to win, it drives my energy.
"Yeah I think he's (Trossard) much better, I think he will be able to train again tomorrow and if that's the case, he will be fit."
On a tough trip for their opening game, Arteta insists there's no reason to complain.
He continued: "We have to play each other at some point. We will go game by game and make the best preparations and earn the right to win the game.
"It's history, it's the clashes when I was younger as well playing for both teams and it created something special in those games.
"A lot (can win the title)! Too many in the league, and it's getting stronger and stronger, even some maybe you don't put on paper."
Gyokeres v Sesko?
Arteta is expected to hand new centre-forward Viktor Gyokeres a full Premier League debut and was asked about comparisons with United's new striker Benjamin Sesko.
He said, "I can just talk about Viktor, and how happy we are to have him. His adaptation in the team has been very very good.
"Many strikers have come from different leagues and being successful and it's on us to create the right conditions for him to be successful.
"He (Gyokeres) is getting better and better everyday. He is normally a really fit player and he has had the small moments in two games (in pre-season) with us so let's see what he brings on Sunday.
"Martin (Zubimendi) has had a great integration in to the team and we are really happy with him. He will be fit for Sunday."
Arteta was also asked about Gunners legend Tony Adams' claims this week that he should take the captaincy away from Martin Odegaard and give it to Declan Rice.
"Well my opinion is clear, its of the staff and the players, I had a vote about the captain, and by a mile, everyone choose the same captain and the result was Martin Odegaard.
"This is the most clear sign you can have of how the squad feel we can improve."
We keep digging
Arteta is adamant his Arsenal team continues to improve year upon year, insisting the Premier League title breakthrough will eventually arrive.
He said, "If you keep digging, digging and digging, then one day the gold is going to be there. All the time, it is what I have been taught my whole life.
"For the last three seasons we have more points than anybody else in the league and that says a lot about our consistency. Now we just have to do it in a season.
"I think it gets you more and more excited and the staff they come every single day with a smile on their face."
