Hemir joined Sunderland in the summer of 2023 and made 23 appearances in his first season, where he failed to find the back of the net. The 22-year-old will spend the full campaign with the Portuguese side who have started their campaign with three wins from three under manager Vasco Botelho da Costa.
Kristjaan Speakman, Sunderland's sporting director spoke on the move and revealed how the club wanted to find the perfect club for Hemir so he can develop into a asset for the first team in the future.
