Liverpool will have to come from behind an Anfield next week if they are to reach the quarter-finals after suffering a 1-0 loss to the Turkish giants.
Slot's 100th game as Liverpool boss ended miserably as his side failed to take their chances on the night despite dominating for the majority of the game.
Floiran Wirtz, Mohamed Salah and Hugo Ekitike all had chances to either net themselves or pick up assists but failed to combine in attack.
Wirtz missed two big chances in a chaotic opening 45 minutes which was followed by the side constantly failing to find the back of the net.
Slot spoke after the game about how his side must start to take their chances if they want to improve.
"We started the game really well, even better than three months ago. We had three or four great moments, the biggest moment when Florian came across almost an open goal but he couldn't finish that ball.
"We weren't able to score and like last time, with their first attack it led to a corner and you have to give credit to the way when they get a chance they play it like it's the last chance of their lives.
"It's definitely something we can learn from. We sometimes get our chances and it comes across like we think we'll get 10 more. It's already a difficult place to come to, but when you're 1-0 down it makes it even harder.”
The Reds next face relegation candidates Tottenham who will be desperate to pick up points as they battle against falling into the drop zone.
