Both sides find themselves in the bottom half of the Premier League and as the two sides meet at Craven Cottage, both teams will have relegation on their mind as they head into the New Year.
Fulham aim to end the season with a flourish
Fulham are 14th but are now only two points above Forest as they aim to climb above. Silva first said it’s important to the end the year with a bang on Monday night after a rest over the weekend.
"At this moment, it is a very good thing for us. I'm not hiding the situation and the way we have been using almost always the same players, players that have been doing everything to help the team, putting a lot of effort every single game.
“It is important to have some days rest, and this game being on Monday night is good after a long journey and a competitive game last Wednesday.
"Big game, last of the year for us at Craven Cottage in 2025. Very important for the football club that we are able to break the points record of last year, some great performances at home, but always trying to improve and progress. It has been a very good year for us, and it is important to end in the right way."
Team news
Fulham completed a league double over Forest last season, who will be seeking revenge away from home. Silva spoke on team news ahead of the clash as the Cottagers aim to move up to 11th.
"Pretty much the same, really from the last game. We are going to keep assessing the players as you expect going into the game.
"Right now, only Rodrigo Muniz and Ryan Sessegnon are not available for the game."
