Kane netted 280 goals for Spurs and has already hit 98 for Bayern in just 103 appearances across all competitions in what has been an incredible career so far for the England captain.
Earlier this week, Spurs head coach Thomas Frank revealed that he, and a lot of fans would love to see Kane return to the side in the future.
"There are a lot of Tottenham fans, including myself who would like to see Kane back," Frank said.
"But he's welcome. If he wants to join us, he's more than welcome."
Now, speaking to Coin Poker, Sherringham has indicated that the 32-year-old should return to North London which he thinks is the obvious choice.
“It’ll be interesting if Harry Kane returns to England. Football can change very quickly, so to say where he could go next at the season is anyone’s guess.
Despite his age, he’d still be one of the most sought-after players in world football if he was to become available.
“The way it’s looking for Manchester United, they still could do with a player like him, but I think it’s unlikely that they would get him. For me, Tottenham would be the obvious choice.
“I couldn’t see why the club wouldn’t want him back if that became a possibility and I’m sure the Spurs supporters would welcome him back with open arms.”
German publication Bild suggests that Kane could be available for a reduced fee of £56.7M next year, which Tottenham could pounce on despite his age. Kane would thrive under Frank and he could return to the side to chase down the league’s top scorer Alan Shearer and of course the league title.
