Benjamin Sesko has revealed how Diogo Dalot has helped him after he signed for Manchester United.

Sesko arrived at Old Trafford for a fee of £66.4M, and £7.3M in add-ons from RB Leipzig as former manager Ruben Amorim tried to solve his team’s striker crisis.

Since Amorim left, interim manager Michael Carrick has stepped in and has had an unbeaten start to life with the Red Devils. His latest clash came against West Ham United where Sesko stepped up and salvaged a 1-1 draw in the dying moments.

Dalot has helped Sesko adapt

The 22-year-old had to wait until October to score his first goal, but he has notched five times in his last six appearances as he slowly grows into the side.

Speaking this week, he revealed one player in particular has helped him express himself in the side as he starts to impress.

“With Diogo Dalot like from the start he was really helping me, he was really trying to help me in all the ways, because obviously it's a different world here,” said Sesko, when speaking to the Inside Carrington podcast.

“I'm really grateful that he stood up, and he saw his younger self in me, you know?

“We are still pushing every day and doing all the work that's possible. I think that's why you can also see it on the pitch.”

Fans mean everything

Opening up about his relationship with the fans, Sesko said: "The best way to introduce yourself is scoring goals. Without the fans, you cannot play football. When you have them by your side, it gives you another energy and a push.

"It was an amazing feeling to score my first goal at home. Everyone is screaming for you. It was unbelievable. I've said in many interviews so far, the way we are playing together, the way we are, the guys off the pitch celebrating the goals, we are really doing everything to win the game."
