"It helps me for my confidence," the striker told BBC's Match of the Day. "It's been tough, but now I finally did it and I'm happy I could help the team.
"This is the most important for me and now it's just up to me and up to us to keep going like that."
It was the first game since the dismissal of manager Ruben Amorim and Sesko also stated: "Now it's up to us.
"Obviously, to stand together as a group, to really show we can work together no matter what situation.
"In the end, it's just important for us to focus on the upcoming games, upcoming trainings. That's the most important."
