Bayern Munich forward Serge Gnabry's agent has discussed his future this week as links to Liverpool grow.

The Reds are reportedly monitoring FC Bayern’s Serge Gnabry, whose contract expires at the end of the season. Talks are expected to happen in January, where the club can approach the German international who is said to be open to a move.

The former Arsenal winger has enjoyed a remarkable stint in Bavaria following his 2017 arrival, appearing 298 times for the club across all competitions, finding the net on 97 occasions.

Now, as transfer talk grows, his agent Thorsten Wirth has spoken on the “TOMorrow” podcast about Gnabry’s future as his contract winds down.

“Serge is always capable of a surprise. It has been great to see how he embraced his new role over the summer and built up such a positive momentum.

“His contract is running out, but he feels very comfortable and is enjoying his time.“

“Both sides know exactly what they mean to each other.”

However, despite transfer rumours, reports claim that Bayern are considering offering the 30-year-old a new two-year contract. Juventus are also said to be interested, which will only push the Premier League champions to make a move in the new year.

Bild’s suggestion of an annual salary in the region of €17M to €19M would normally be enough to dissuade Liverpool, but as the winger would arrive for free, the deal looks promising and may happen as soon as the January window arrives.
