Former Forest boss Ange Postecoglou was sacked following 39 days and eight winless matches in charge in what was one of the worst appointments in Premier League history.
Now, Dyche is in line to become the third manager of Forest’s season after Postecoglou and Nuno Espirito Santo as he makes his way back to the Premier League since he departed from Everton in January this year.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that he has now reached an agreement with Forest in a move that will excite fans as the experienced head coach steps back into management.
“Sean Dyche, set to sign contract until June 2027 at Nottingham Forest.
“Verbal agreement in place between parties, with former Everton manager ready for PL return.”
Forest dropped into the relegation zone at the weekend after a 2-0 win for Burnley over Leeds United and Dyche is reportedly ready to take the job before their Europa League clash with FC Porto later this week.
The club picked up just one of their total five points this season under Postecoglou and many fans will feel like Dyche cannot do much worse as they prepare for a European and domestic campaign with the English head coach who is known for his strong, no nonsense defense.
