William Saliba has opened up on how ex-Man United defender turned Arsenal coach is influencing things at the club.

Heinze, 47, spent three years at Man United under Sir Alex Ferguson, but decided to join Mikel Arteta’s coaching staff in the summer.

The Argentinian came in to replace Carlos Cuesta, who left to take the manager’s role at Parma at just 29 years old.

Since he joined, Arsenal have conceded just seven goals in their first 14 Premier League games, sitting comfortably at the top of the league.

Saliba has now lifted the lid on how the ex-United role at the club, and it doesn’t seem like he’s lost the passion he had as a player.

“Gabriel Heinze helps a lot, especially the defenders," Saliba told the Men in Blazers media network. 

“He gives us energy because he’s always talking, always loud - even in training when we do simple things, he’s always loud. Even for nothing, he will be loud!

“He talks a lot and it’s good to have him close to us. I think this guy can help us a lot.”
