Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice has revealed that he picked Chelsea's Moises Caicedo in his team of the year.

Chelsea are just six points behind league leaders Arsenal and can cut that deficit to three points if they beat them on Sunday afternoon. Caicedo and Rice have been instrumental to each team’s success this season and many comparisons have been made between the two.

The Gunners made it five consecutive victories in Europe this season as they beat Bayern Munich on Wednesday night, further establishing themselves as one of the favourites for the competition.

Chelsea beat La Liga giants Barcelona the night before, heating up Sunday’s clash even further as the two London rivals go head-to-head.

However, despite their rivalry, Rice has revealed to CBS that he has immense respect for Caicedo who he believes is one of the best in the league.

“I voted Moisés Caicedo in my PFA Team of the Year

“It’s gonna be an exciting battle between me and Caicedo, I will be ready!”.

“I have a lot of respect for Moises. There is so much comparison between us, but we are playing different positions.”

Chelsea are currently on a four match win streak in all competitions, whilst Arsenal will go nine points clear of their London rivals if they secure a victory.

The midfield battle between Rice and Caicedo is expected to determine the tempo and outcome of the match and despite their respect for one another, it is set to be an intense affair.
