The Liverpool Echo says club chiefs are eager for the teen to continue his exciting progress and are worried if Semenyo arrives, Ngumoha would find himself in direct competition with the Ghana international.
Bournemouth's asking price of £75m is also turning off Liverpool, despite Semenyo's superb form so far this season.
Along with Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester United are also interested in Semenyo ahead of the January market.
