Odds have been dramatically slashed this morning on Ruben Amorim being the first Premier League manager to leave.

Following Manchester United’s disastrous Carabao Cup defeat to League Two side Grimsby last night, bookies have cut Amorim’s odds from 25/1 into just 13/5.

That now makes Amorim just the third favourite to be the first Premier League manager to leave this season, only trailing Graham Potter (11/8) and Nuno Espirito Santo (2/1).

There’s a clear gap between Potter, Nuno and Amorim and the rest of their Premier League cohort – with the fourth favourite behind Amorim being Daniel Farke at 16/1.

Vitor Pereira is 20/1, followed by Oliver Glasner (25/1), Scott Parker (33/1) and Eddie How (33/1) all seemingly safe for the time being.

Oddspedia spokesperson Callum Wilson said: “Despite losing their first two league game of the season, punters and bookies alike were not worried about Amorim being the first manager out of the door.

“Before last night, bookies had Amorim as a lofty 25/1 to be the first manager sent packing. That price is long gone, however, with all major UK bookies dramatically slashing odds on Amorim leaving Manchester United.

“With just over one-third of all bets being placed on Amorim within the market – it would be no surprise if he overtakes fellow struggling manager, Graham Potter, before their match with Burnley this weekend."
