In an interview with Sky Sports, Raya confessed that, before joining the Gunners, he was very close to joining another big club.
"I was very close to going to another club before joining Arsenal ... and luckily that didn't happen, so Arsenal made the offer," said the Spain international.
Eventually, Raya confessed that the club he almost joined was Bayern Munich.
"Which club? It was FC Bayern Munich," he added with a smile.
