Liverpool were hammered 4-0 at Manchester City in their FA Cup quarterfinal.
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, Dublin commented: "Liverpool sloped off and I would imagine they were very embarrassed by the scoreline and the performance. When a red shirt had the ball they didn't have many options.
"It tells me a lot of those Liverpool players didn't want the responsibility of the ball. It was a poor performance, they are a lot better than what we have seen today.
"To get embarrassed like they did today is going to stick with them."
Meanwhile, former Liverpool and City striker Robbie Fowler also said: "It's hard to sum up the Liverpool performance, they started well and went toe to to with them in the first 35 minutes.
"After Manchester City went ahead, there was only going to be one winner.
"If I was a City fan, I would have wanted them to click into gear a bit earlier to challenge Arsenal but with the quality of the team, they can go from strength to strength."
