Forest head to Turf Moor to take on Scott Parker's side as they search for their first win under Postecoglou after he replaced Nuno Espirito Santo. His side have picked up four points in the Premier League so far and a win against Burnley is need to boost confidence ahead of next week’s Europa League tie with Real Betis.
Is Murillo available?
Postecoglou first gave an update on defender Murillo who picked up an injury during the 3-0 defeat at Arsenal last weekend.
“He’s still a doubt. He did some individual work today and we will give him a little bit more time,” Postecoglou said.
“He’s still a little bit sore. It’s just a matter of whether he can cope with it. We’ll make a late decision, but he’s a doubt.
“That’s the nature of the business, you’re always going to get some disruptions along the way. Thankfully it’s nothing too serious, so if he doesn’t make tomorrow he should definitely be alright for Wednesday (against Real Betis in the Europa League).”
Everyone is ready to fight
He then have more injury updates, next on Nicolas Dominguez who is making good progress in his recovery from a knee issue which has left him sidelined since May.
“Health wise, everyone else is OK,” Postecoglou said. “Nico Dominguez is hopefully getting ready to integrate into full team training next week. That will be great for him and great for us to have him back in the squad.”
Saturday is a must win
Postecoglou also opened up on if the pressure is on already for him as a manager and revealed that he thinks he must win on Saturday.
"There's been negativity around my arrival since I got to the Premier League so that's the constant space I'm in.
"It's not about me. It is important that we win on Saturday, not for me to ease the pressure or anything, but we've lost the last two games in the Premier League and in this league, every game is tough so you don't want to be in a position where you haven't won because you start chasing the game a bit.
"We've got to try and make amends to try and get points on the board and start moving in the right direction up the table."
There are no easy games
Finally, Postecoglou was questioned on the intensity of the Premier League and revealed that there are no easy fixtures even if on paper the Burnley game looks like a straight 3 points for his side.
“There are no easy tests in the Premier League now, that’s pretty evident. Scott has done a brilliant job since he went to Burnley," Postecoglou said.
“A couple of the staff members I’ve had have worked with Scott in the past and said he is a fantastic person and a great coach. He looks like a real smart guy and he has got them set up really well.
“It will absolutely be a tough test. But that is what the Premier League gives you every week, there is always something challenging you need to overcome.”
