Postecoglou's first home game in charge

"I’m certainly looking forward to it. We’ve had four away games.

"I don’t think it’s a bad run of form, but playing four away games doesn’t happen very often. I am sure they (the fans) are excited to see the team, so irrespective of form or anything else, there should be a really good buzz at the stadium tomorrow.

"Home comforts. The fans will get behind the players so it’s going to be great. The players will enjoy it. When they walk out tomorrow night and they hear the noise that will be supportive of them, I think it will help the performance."

Team News

Murillo

Next, the former Tottenham boss gave some lengthy team news, focusing on defender Murillo and playmaker Douglas Luiz.

"Murillo is still not where we want him to be. He’s still doing individual training. We were hoping he’d have progressed a bit quicker.

"It was a pretty severe knock on his thigh. From my understanding, the healing process is just slower than we thought. He just needs to feel comfortable so we need to be patient with him.

"He’s out on the grass so now it’s just about incorporating him back into the team.

Douglas Luiz

"Dougie wasn’t great yesterday so we have sent him for a scan on his hamstring. He won’t be available this weekend. We have just got to be really careful. He had a lot of issues last year and he came here late so it’s better to be cautious.

"We will see what the scans say. It’s nothing serious or significant but with the international break round the corner there might be an opportunity for us to really build him up to where we need him to be.

"There are no other injury concerns."

Forest are heading in the right direction

Finally, he gave an assessment of his time at Forest so far to which he says his side is heading in the right direction despite their poor form.

"We are definitely making progress. Our football is gradually getting to the place that we want. The results haven’t been what we wanted but that’s not because of lack of performance and that’s an important thing for me.

"There’s enough from the games I’ve been in charge of to show me that the players are responding and we are heading in the right direction."
