Port Vale boss Brady reveals sharing joke with Xhaka during Sunderland Cup shock

League One Port Vale stunned the Premier League team 1-0 in yesterday's fifth round clash.

Afterwards, Brady revealed he was able to enjoy a light-hearted exchange with Sunderland's skipper.

"I asked Granit: ‘Have you ever played on a pitch like this one before? ’ and he replied: ‘Yes, I've played worse.’

"Then I said: ‘Okay, okay.’ We had a good laugh," recalled Brady.

Port Vale will learn their quarterfinal opponents after Monday night's draw.
