United's Premier League clash at Liverpool on Sunday will be their 100th match against their biggest rivals at Anfield in what will be one of the toughest tests for manager Ruben Amorim so far this season.
Liverpool are desperately seeking to bounce back from a run of three successive defeats across all competitions against Crystal Palace, Galatasaray and Chelsea.
Each team will be looking for a weakness, and Parker spoke on the Devils’ Advocate podcast about how Shaw could be the player to focus on.
"If Liverpool play in front of them, it will be great, but I don’t think they will. I think they will try and turn them around, especially on the left side with Luke Shaw.
“Salah is going to be looking to run in behind with and without the ball, knowing the laziness of Luke Shaw, who he will be pulling at his shirt all the time and little things like that."
United have so far beaten only one team who weren’t in the Championship last season, and The Reds will hope to break their duck on Sunday with a hard fought three points which could take them to the top of the table.
United also haven’t won at Anfield in almost a decade and Liverpool may take Parker’s comments on board in their attack which boasts some of the best players on the planet.
