Olympiacos chief Kovacevic reveals bumper Brighton bid for Mouzakitis

The midfielder has been linked with some of Europe's biggest clubs.

And Kovacevic has revealed they rejected a major bid from Brighton over the summer for the youngster.

He said, "We rejected a €40 million offer from Brighton for Mouzakitis: this shows we firmly believe in this kid's potential and that he can still grow.

"He's 18 years old, but has the maturity of a thirty-something.

"We're talking about a gem, with extraordinary ball handling skills. Something extremely rare in Europe for players of his age."
