Jeorge Bird's Arsenal youth website is reporting McCarron played for Arsenal U18s against Shrewsbury in their 1-1 draw last week.
McCarron is a Northern Ireland international and also played for the Gunners in Brazil in the Flamengo Adidas Cup last year.
The defender has made the senior bench with Dungannon Swifts this season.
Interestingly, also playing for Arsenal against Shrewsbury was midfielder Gabriel Arteta, the son of Gunners manager Mikel Arteta.
