The bid was rejected on Tuesday night when the 25-year-old scored two stunning goals against West Ham 3-2 to reach the Carabao Cup third round. Wolves boss Vitor Pereira conceded that "every player has a price" as Newcastle prepare a third bid for Jorgen Strand Larsen which is likely to be rejected unless it is increased substantially.
On Monday, Newcastle failed with a £50M bid for Strand Larsen and the second bid was denied on Tuesday. Reports state that a third bid could come again either on Wednesday or Thursday as The Magpies step up their pursuit of the striker.
When he was asked if Strand Larsen would remain at Molineux, Wolves' head coach Pereira replied: “I don’t know, I’m not the owner. Until now, Jorgen is our player, we’ll see what happens.
"Football is football and every player has a price, even (Lionel) Messi or Cristiano (Ronaldo). We’ll see what happens."
Wolves do not want to sell the Norway international as there are just a few days remaining of the transfer window and any deal for the striker would mean the side would likely struggle to find a replacement in time.
Strand Larsen scored 14 Premier League goals last season and could be a good replacement for Isak but it seems like they are looking in the wrong place as Wolves continue to deny their approach for a player who seems dedicated to the side despite the prospect of Champions League football with The Magpies.
