Since then, Woltemade has scored just six, and speculation has started to suggest that Newcastle are willing to cut their losses and sell the forward.
According to The Telegraph, though, Newcastle still have faith in the German and want to give him one more season to prove himself.
The club understand that Woltemade needs more time to get used to the demands of the Premier League and believe he will be more effective in 2026-27.
