Newcastle chiefs eager to prise Wilson away from Forest

The Forest sports director is wanted by Newcastle, with a move close to being finalised, says ChronicleLive.

Wilson wants to make the switch, though also is eager to see the deal settled without any acrimony.

He was at St James' Park on Sunday for Forest's 2-0 defeat against Newcastle.

Both the Toon board and manager Eddie Howe want to bring in Wilson and now it is a matter of settling a compensation fee with Forest - if they're prepared to allow their sports director to leave.
