Napoli will reportedly include a special 'captain clause' as they seek to secure the long term future of star player Scott McTominay.

The 29-year-old has been a revelation for Napoli since joining from boyhood club Man United back in the summer of 2024.

McTominay’s fine form in Italy has seen him continually linked with a return to the Premier League, something Napoli are working to ensure doesn’t happen.

According to Il Matino (via Calcio Napoli 24), Napoli are in talks with the Scotland international to secure his long-term future.

It’s understood that the club have proposed a ‘captain clause’ in their offer, which would, unsurprisingly, make him the captain.
