Rashford has made his mark with seven goals and 11 assists across 27 appearances under Barcelona boss Hansi Flick, who, like many fans has been impressed with the Englishman whilst on loan.
Rashford was frozen out of the Manchester United squad under now sacked manager Ruben Amorim but, despite this, Murphy spoke to Boylesports about how the forward has zero chance of returning under new management.
"I don't think Michael Carrick, or whoever gets the job, will be able to influence the club to change their approach on Marcus Rashford.
“I think he's had his chances and opportunities. Also, the fanbase has generally turned on him a little bit. I think he's too far gone. Even if he doesn't get the Barcelona move, a move somewhere else will benefit him."
"He looks like he's playing with freedom," Murphy observed. "I even saw him come off the bench against Real Madrid, and he looked so sharp, expressing himself and appearing like a different player. I think his days at United are over, regardless of who is in charge."
Barcelona have a £26M option to turn Rashford's loan move into a permanent deal. However, they are predicted to try and negotiate that figure down later in the season as they try to snatch a bargain for Rashford who is in fine form.
