Munetsi was speaking after their home defeat to Burnley, which left Wolves inside the bottom three, and ended with Pereira arguing with fans.
Munetsi said afterwards: “If you see the phase that we are going through, the first half we conceded two goals and managed to come back, and the guys really pushed hard second half to try to get the winner at home.
“It's quite a difficult moment for everybody, we always want to win games for us players, and also for the supporters and everybody associated with the club. The players really feel the difficulties, but we still have much more to play for, and I think we just have to stay together, stay united.”
On the anger of the Wolves support, Munetsi continued: “We understand them because they love the club. A lot of them grew up supporting this team, and they just need to know that we also want to see the club in a better place. We, as players, don't want to be in this situation. So, we do understand the anger and the frustration, but we’re going to do our best to make sure that we win games, and we just want them to support us, because in the end we ourselves and them have to get us out of this situation.
“If we are divided, it won't work for us. Stick together, keep pushing. Last year we managed to change things because of them supporting us and winning a lot of games at home. So, it’s key for us to stick together and try to get out of the situation.”
Pereira knows fans frustrated
Muntesti also rallied to support under pressure manager Pereira.
He also told the club's website: “He did an amazing job. Last year when he came things were also quite tough and he managed to turn things around. We know how he wants to work, and we have been working quite well.
"Some of us came because of him. So, I think we are just going through a phase that none of us can really explain what's going on, and as a manager he's really trying to push to change, to train us in different ways, to find solutions to win games.
“I understand when fans get frustrated, he understands also. It's just a phase that we cannot explain, but we just have to keep on working together, supporting the managers, supporting the players, and also for the supporters to keep on being behind us, because we still have 29 games to go, so a lot can still do happen in 29 games.”
