“This team is something special. What a way to mark my Premier League debut,” he said.
“We speak about that a lot as a team. It’s got to be hard for them coming to the Stadium of Light but we’ve just got to continue that.
“Towards the end of the game, we showed our togetherness. We always stick together and we put our bodies on the line.”
Mundle continued: “It felt surreal. I’ve been a waiting a long time for that so I’m just glad I can mark this Premier League debut for this fantastic Club.
“It felt good being back out there. I missed it a lot but I just want to kick on from here and keep going until the next game.
