Everton manager David Moyes has spoke to the media ahead of this weekend's clash with Tottenham.

An update on Branthwaite

Moyes first provided an update on Jarrad Branthwaite after undergoing surgery on his hamstring on Tuesday, as he continues to remain out of action.

"We had him back, he was back in full training, and we expected him to be very close for Manchester City.

"It didn’t feel quite right so we got it checked out, and he’s had to have some work on it.

"We’re not giving a timescale because we want to give it a chance to heal and for him to take his time."

Patterson will be out for weeks

Fellow defender Nathan Patterson also picked up an injury in recent weeks and Moyes confirmed that he will be out for some weeks.

"He had a plantar fascia tear in his foot which he picked up in the game against Bradford. It will probably keep him out for a couple of weeks.

"He’s also had a little bit of an issue with his hernia so we’re going to get that tided up while he’s out."

Moyes also confirmed there are no fresh injuries.

Moyes impressed with Ndiaye

Moyes next says he has been "hugely impressed" by Iliman Ndiaye who has 3 goals and 1 assists so far this season for The Toffees.

"He has been so good, we are getting goals from him as well. He is a great lad to work with."

On expectations

Finally, Moyes commented on consistency and the pressure of the job. He explained the expectations in the side and how they have changed since he took over from former boss Sean Dyche.

"We are doing a big job in trying to get it turned around as quick as we can.

"When I came in there was a feeling that anything better than what has gone on would be important."
