The Whites had already confirmed their safety in the Premier League weeks ago, while Brighton have a place in Europe firmly in their sights.
A win for the Seagulls would move them ahead of Bournemouth in sixth, a spot that guarantees Champions League football if Aston Villa beat Freiburg in the Europa League final.
Sadly, the first half of their clash against Leeds disappointed, aside from a few decent attempts on goal, including a strike from Pascal Gross that dipped and swerved, but ultimately drew a superb reaction save from Karl Darlow.
Reacting to the spot on Sky Sports punditry at half-time, Micah Richards was full of praise for the Welshman.
"I’ve got to give the goalkeeper Darlow some credit there, absolutely outstanding," Richards said.
Darlow has been exceptional for Leeds in the second half of the campaign since replacing Lucas Perri as first choice, and saves like that arguably explain why they are staying up.
