Arsenal legend Paul Merson has spoken on the club's draw against Wolves and their title chances.

Goals from Bukayo Saka and Piero Hincapie were not enough to secure 3 points against Wolves this week as the Premier League leaders’ title race starts to collapse.

The result leaves Arsenal five points clear at the top of the Premier League, with Manchester City hot on their heels ahead of this weekend’s fixtures.

Only Crystal Palace and West Ham (both 8) have dropped more points from winning positions in the Premier League in 2026 than Arsenal (7).

Speaking after the game, Merson admitted that he is worried that The Gunners are falling apart as fans begin to call the side bottlers.

"I wouldn't want to be in their shoes if they don't win the league this year because if they don't, I remember Patrick Vieira saying before the Manchester United game that it's now or never.

“I'm starting to think that. I was very bullish about Arsenal winning the league but that's half-scared me tonight."

"It's going come on full blast now, being bottle jobs, melting. It's full-on now - drawing away at Brentford and then being two goals up against the worst team in the league.”

Manchester City possess a game in hand and can reduce that deficit to just two points with victory over Newcastle on Saturday. Meanwhile, Arsenal face North London rivals Tottenham in what is another tough test.
