Ter Stegen now looks set to join fellow Catalan club Girona on loan for the rest of the season in order to get some much-needed minutes ahead of the World Cup.
According to talkSPORT, Premier League relegation candidates West Ham were keen on signing Ter Stegen before he decided to join Girona.
It’s understood that Ter Stegen turned down their offer almost immediately as he had no interest in leaving Spain.
