The Sun says United are focusing on buying readymade Premier League talent and have a long list of targets, including three England internationals.

Newcastle ace Sandro Tonali is being considered, as are Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest), Adam Wharton (Crystal Palace), Alex Scott (Bournemouth) and Carlos Baleba (Brighton).

United directors accept the team needs to qualify for the Champions League if they're to be in the mix to land either Anderson or Wharton.

Scott is gaining support inside Carrington HQ given his form and also positional flexibility that he's displayed for Bournemouth under manager Andoni Iraola.
