According to The Sun, Man United sent scouts to check Rennes duo Jacquet, 20, and Meite, 18, out during their 1-0 win over Paris FC on November 7th.

Jacquet is considered one of the most exciting defensive prospects in France while Meite, a promising striker, has already established himself as a regular for Rennes.
The report adds that United are turning their attention to young prospects in January in a shift from their transfer strategy during the summer.
Arsenal were heavily linked with a move for Jacquet in the summer but opted to sign Cristhian Mosquera and Piero Hincapie instead.
