Man United's January transfer plans have reportedly been revealed following the appointment of Michael Carrick as interim manager.

Carrick, 44, was named as Man United’s new interim manager, reportedly beating former striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to the position.

He will now take charge of the club until the end of the season, with a permanent successor expected to take over in the summer.

According to The Sun, United have money to spend in the ongoing January transfer window but are unlikely to spend it.

It’s understood that the club are waiting to spend in the summer with a midfield overhaul, with Adam Wharton and Alex Scott both targets, touted.
