Now, according to Fabrizio Romano, Ruben Amorim’s side are back in for the midfielder as they seek to kick start their midfield rebuild.
It’s understood that the Spanish club have no interest in letting Gallagher leave on a temporary basis, however, and will only entertain permanent offers.
The former Chelsea midfielder could be available for roughly €30 million, and is said to keen on leaving Atletico due to his lack of regular minutes.
