Man United are reportedly increasingly confident they'll be able to get a deal for Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba over the line.

The 20-time champions were keen on signing Baleba, 22, in the summer of 2025, but were ultimately put off by Brighton’s £100 million+ asking price.

According to The Sun, United are increasingly confident they’ll be able to sign the midfielder this summer as they plan a major overhaul.

It’s understood that United are ready to splash the cash to help fix their struggling midfield and retain an interest in Baleba.

United are also said to be interested in Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton and Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson.
