According to Fabrizio Romano, United remain interested in signing Baleba as part of their midfield rebuild and ‘have not stopped discussing’ him internally.
Romano adds that Baleba isn’t the only player on their midfield shortlist with Adam Wharton and Elliot Anderson both highly regarded.
United may not have a free run at Baleba in the summer with Bayern Munich also said to be keen on the busy midfielder.
