Man United are reportedly weighing up a shock move for ex-youngster James Garner as Ruben Amorim plans to rebuild his side's midfield.

The 24-year-old has been in fine form for Everton so far this season, starting all 17 of their Premier League games.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Man United are deciding whether they should move to re-sign Garner as part of their midfield rebuild.

It’s understood that Garner is seen as a cheaper option to help kick-start the club’s midfield rebuild as they also eye Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson.

Garner’s contract at Everton is set to expire at the end of the season although the club have an option to extend it by a further year.
