Malacia spent 500 days out injured before heading to PSV on loan last season, where he made just 12 appearances.
Man United have now confirmed that the Dutchman will leave the club once his contract expires at the end of the season.
"There's Tyrell, who I spoke to the boys about before kick-off," said head coach Michael Carrick, when addressing the fans on the pitch after Sunday's 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest.
"He's been through a tough time due to injuries. I encourage you to show him your support."
