Amorim, 40, was relieved of his duties after 14 months at Man United, leading the club as the club’s worst manager in the Premier League era, with a win rate of just 32%.
It’s understood that United will wait until the end of the season before naming a permanent successor, with Darren Fletcher currently in charge on an interim basis.
According to The Mirror, England boss Thomas Tuchel, Brazil’s Carlo Ancelotti, and the USMNT’s Mauricio Pochettino have all been added to their shortlist.
None of those manager’s will be available until after the World Cup, however, with Tuchel’s and Pochettino’s contract expiring after the tournament.
