Having joined City in July 2016, the Spaniard won 20 trophies with the side, including the FA Cup and EFL Cup this season in what is an impressive ending for the legendary manager.

He has won six Premier League titles, lifted City’s first Champions League trophy in 2023 and leaves as the best manager the club has ever had in charge.

As per The Sun and Manchester Evening News, City are keen to rename a stand after him before the new season begins as they honour the 55-year-old who brought them so much success.

It is unclear which stand could be renamed but the newly-expanded North Stand is reportedly the favourite to be Guardiola’s ahead of the new campaign.

City have not made any official announcement as per Guardiola’s future and are clearly keen to avoid distractions during their Premier League title race which is not over yet.

Guardiola, speaking on Monday before the news of his departure surfaced, said that not only did he not know about it but he wasn't interested as he ignores all rumours that he will depart.
