Ake played just 688 minutes across 18 appearances in the Premier League as he continued to fall down the pecking order under Pep Guardiola.
But even though the Spaniard is leaving the club, the Dutchman is set to follow him as Man City are willing to offload the 31-year-old.
According to TEAMtalk, City are demanding £20 million for Ake, who has just one year remaining on his contract, with Bournemouth exploring a sensational return for the defender.
City captured Ake for £41m in 2020, and he's since won a whopping six Premier League titles, one Champions League, and two FA Cups.
Bournemouth is seen as an attractive destination for the ball-playing centre-back after they qualified for European football for the first time in their history.
However, multiple other clubs, including Roma, Everton, Crystal Palace, Leeds United and newly-promoted Coventry City are all monitoring his situation.
